Countdown of the last 60 seconds of the year 2011 at Zojoji Temple in Tokyo, Japan. (apologies for the blurriness!) Extra tidbit: to those of you concerned about the effect of the balloons on the environment - they are made out of "oblaat", a type of starch that dissolves in water.
